Christmas 2015

Christmas is such a fun holiday. I've always loved the spirit around and the joy the season seems to bring. This year I had to work Christmas Eve and Day. It actually really sucked. It's been tradition for as long as I can remember we have gone to Grandma Vicki's. With getting married and having to split holidays plus working in healthcare I haven't had a 'traditional' Christmas in a long time. We had dinner at my parents house with some family. My moms homemade food is to die for! That definitely brought some of the tradition I was hoping for! We played a round of Nines and opened our Christmas pajamas. Later, I went to work which was difficult to leave my family and hubby. I'll admit I cried. Darin was so nice to comfort me! At work there was some Christmas Spirit and everyone had the same feelings I did but we made the best of it. There was lots food and treats. Later that night my cute family came to visit me at work! Made my night! They brought some homemade fudge and toffee. It helped to see their faces because it was so difficult to work Chrismtas. After that Darin came and saw me and it was so cute. I am sure grateful for them to help me through it!
Christmas Day was very fun as well! We went to my parents opened presents And had breakfast and then headed to Darin's parents! We opened presents with them and Then I slept most of the day. Darin got to talk to his brother Justin who is in a mission in Florida. I didn't because I was sleeping and had to work that night but I had them pass on my love! We had dinner with his family and the I headed back to work.
Although this Christmas wasn't traditional I still had a great Christmas. It will make all the holidays I don't work so much better! Right?!
This years presents consisted of clothing, shoes, A NEW SEWING MACHINE, money, and so much more! We sure love our families and enjoy the times we have together! I hope everyone's Christmases were just as great! Merry Christmas 2015!

Thanksgiving 2015

It's always been a tradition to go to my Grandmas house in Richfield. And every time we go I truly have a blast. It's been different being married and having to switch holidays. But this year we continued the tradition and went to my grandmas in Richfield. Her thanksgivings are on point. Always such good food! Homemade from scratch. She spent all day Wednesday preparing and Thursday morning cooking. We had everything from turkey and ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes to 3 different desserts. We decided to spend most of the time we had off in Richfield because I won't be able to do much for Christmas. I work.
This thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. I am an amazing husband who loves me for who I am. I am grateful for him and all he does for me. I have such a great family. Parents who would do anything for me and siblings I can always have fun with. I am grateful for my in laws and the great examples they are to us. I'm also grateful for a sister in law who's my go to for hair product advice and a two brothers in law who are so fun to be around. This year I am grateful especially for missionary work. I have a few cousins and brother in law who aren't eating with the family this year, instead they are out serving the lord. I am so grateful and blessed to have such a good job. I learn so much and I am so mesmerized by what I do.
Despite what you did or didn't do for the holidays I hope everyone had a wonderful time with family and friends. Happy thanksgiving everyone!!!

It's been a while...

Okay so I haven't blogged in two years. Seriously! Who does that?! Me! Right here! Basically, I don't really care who does or doesn't read this. It's more for me, my family, and my friends. It's an unofficial way to keep up with everyone and for everyone to keep up with us. I started blogging a few years ago and then randomly stopped. It was so fun yesterday to go back and re-read all my old posts! I want to be able to do that years from now. So for me, it's a great way to keep a online journal.
To update you guys on our life..
We are so crazy busy! We both work full time and go to school full time. Darin works at Big O. He's in management and as far as I know he likes his job! He has a little bit more 'authority' which allows him to have more  responsibility. Which he is perfect for! He's always been one to manage others. He's amazing!
I am currently working in the ER. It's crazy, fun, hectic, and amazing. All in one job. It's seriously so great! I am learning so much and this is helping me towards my ultimate goal, to become an RN (more on that to come). So anyways, here's to hoping I am better at blogging this year and years to come! Stay tuned!
